I need my mods right now!

Simon looks to the skyAll that’s important to me and the rest of the team at POTN is that you get the stuff you need, delivered to your door as quickly as possible.

Whether something is in need of desperate replacement, or you’ve seen the perfect wheels for your car and just can’t wait, we want to get you hooked up in double quick time.

So we were gutted to see how many of our customers were getting refused for finance by our previous lender.

It seems that since the credit crunch has kicked in, unless you:

  • own your own home and
  • are over 25 and
  • earn a fortune

you don’t stand much chance of getting your money.

Rather than admit defeat we knew we had to come up with a plan, to make sure you could get what you need:

The Plan:

1. Best acceptance rates, to help people who struggle to get approved
2. Lowest price credit or long periods of free credit

But, one provider wouldn’t cut the mustard, so we’ve now partnered with two!

The best to get accepted.

As one of the countries biggest loan brokers Yes Loans are hooked up with pretty much every provider out there. They can tweak what they offer, so you the best deal for your current circumstances. In effect they can come up with a package for just about anybody.

The best rate we could find.

Good old Howard at the Halifax has a cracking good deal at the minute on their One Credit Card. 10 Months interest free credit on your first purchase! If you have an OK credit rating why not take advantage of it and pay for your stuff next year?

Head over to the Finance Centre to read more…

If anyone has experience (good or bad) of getting credit for their car part purchases please share them below.

hi there and thanks for witeing too me .So yes i cant get credit for car parts .But its not always the person name there go by its where on lives as well .And how long they lived there .Sorry but what that got too do with it .As long as you dont an address surely thats ok and by going too yes loans or someone else .One has too pay a fee up front as they can do the forms .Which too me does not cost them 50 pounds too do .Just for some paper work wow that must be dear paper work .So if one wants any credit then they should get it no matter what ,As long as they have the money too pay for it or not .And if someone does not pay then .Its down too them as too pay up or lose the things they brought .True or not .But there is no way i will pay any one 50 pounds or more for some silly paper work .And still have someone tell me i cant get credit from them .And yes loans say they can always tell you yes too ever think .SORRY no they cant as they take your money and still dont give you credit ok .Belive me i have been there .Yes i have the money too buy things for my car but i just cant afford for the full price for them in one hit ok .So were is the harm in giving a postal order too the people that send out the car parts each week or each month were is the harm in that .Because one could set up agrement with them as too pay each month or each week a price and if they dont pay it then they ask for the things back .Or they go round that person house and take them back .And nine out off ten people will always pay for it as they no they can always go back too them that how i see it any way

    Hi Taz

You’re absolutely right. The fee is actually £59.50, it’s what they call their Broker charge. This is for checking your credit history and applying on your behalf to a number of lenders that they believe will accept you.

They charge this upfront, but will refund you £54.50 if you are unsuccessful.

This solution may not be right for all of our customers, but we choose to work with Yes Loans because they have the highest acceptance rates we could find. They are also one of the only companies that will arrange for loans as little as £250.

There are other lenders that will provide the service your after with more regular collections but they charge bigger interest rates to cover the increased administration.

Whats important to me is that our customers have some way of getting the stuff they need, even if they dont have enough money in the account right now.

Taz - reading your comments there, I’m pleased you don’t work for a bank or a finance house as this country would be in even more of a sorry state! If you buy some wheels for your car, pay POTN on installments, then stop paying, are they really going to drive around the country to pick up your kerbed wheels with bald tyres? Or maybe you have sold them on? Credit ratings mean just that - whether you are deemed to be a risk or not. If not a risk, then you’ll get credit. If a risk, then no can do.

The great news is that our initial tests have shown acceptance rates are about 5 times better than before.

Taz you are a very very scary person! I think I now need to find somewhere very secret to go and hide, just so I never have to read your words ever again. Ever.

I went through to the Halifax card and there’s no charges and no interest for ten months. If you dont want to pay any fees go for the card. They gave me the card ok but not sure how good or bad my rating stacks up.
