Why Janspeed is the best Fiesta ST exhaust for you.

For a while now my Fiesta St was crying out for some attention.

A nice set of 17″ white alloys?  maybe coilovers? or a full exhaust system?. I chose the later, so i got on the blower to the guys at Janspeed and ordered a manifold, sports cat and full system. I thought if the Janspeed system was good enough for the CodeRed gurus then i thought that it was more than ample for me.

I had to wait a few weeks, but when it turned up and i was not dissapointed, the backbox with the 3.5″ slash cut tailpipe looked pukka and the weld quality was tip top. So me and a couple of the potn crew booked a date for the fiesta’s operation.

So saturday came and (so did the bloody cold weather) we got to work. Taking the manifold off was a pain in the arse as it wouldnt bloody come out either the top or bottom of the engine bay. After a few swear words and a couple of brews we had it out and then the hassle of the new one going in.

Once the manifold was in we had to take off the old system. One of the crew decided he wanted to get out the angle grinder but luckily for the car we got the system off while the grinder was breathing into life. Installing the new system was a piece of cake, and then i had the pleasure of starting the ST up.

On tick over you wouldnt know any difference but once the car got revving there was no hiding the Janspeeds roar, it was defo worth the hassle with the manifold! Once on the road all i wanted to do was to gun it and feel the difference, and believe me between 4000 and 6000 rpm is why Janspeed is so highly regarded. The pick up was really noticable and made me want to floor it more but the council do insist on roundabouts everywhere.

So all in all fantastic value for money and a must for all you modders out there looking for a stainless system. Let me know your thoughts.

    Exhaust does sound fantastic, the new system slid together beautifully as well.

    If anyone is planning to fit the same system on their ST then a word of advice….remove the gearbox mount and you can then get the old manifold out from underneath!

    I didnt know you were having the manifold aswell barry, dont spose you know if i could connect a janspeed manifold to my milltek full system do you? having work done to mine next week so will come up and show you guys, perhaps have a butchers at yours if thats ok?

    Yes Sam i had the full monty lol, unfortunately the janspeed manifold will not fit the milltek system. Once you have had it fitted you are more than welcome to pop up and we can have a look at your system and the Dezent Motions you have had fitted.

    ah i have just found out that milltek do a 4-1 manifold anyway so might splash a few extra pennies at that in time to come.. yeah im getting it done next week and will deffo be up maybe thurs/fri to show it off! Cant wait!

    Had One Along Time Ago On My Old C2, Had A Lovely Warm Bass Tick Over When It Was On Tickover, Soon As You Nailed It, It Roared. I Think Its A Trade Mark Of Janspeed.

    Not sure, but keep your eyes peeled, as we have a new performance exhaust company coming on board who have shown us thier wares and we can’t wait to get selling!
