Need ideas for xmas gifts for your car obsessed mates?

Lets be honest, buying christmas presents is a real pain in the arse.

I mean, i struggle when my mum’s birthday comes round. Now i’ve got to get something for all of my family, at once!

So in an effort to help you out there i’ve dug around the internet (well, mostly amazon) and found a bunch of car related goodies that i can genuinely say come highly recommended.

So here’s my suggestions for anyone in need of inspiration! If you have any ideas of your own please leave a comment.

DVDs

A guy takes a bet to drive from Denver to San Francisco in 15 hours. Necks a load of amphetamines and rags the hell out of supercharged white Dodge Challenger.

Pretty basic plot results in one of the best road movies ever.

If you caught Tarantino’s Deaf Proof you’d remember the Austrialian stunt woman talking about this film.

Stone cold classic.

Treat a road movie nut, get them Vanishing Point.

Books

That’s alright, I had no idea who Tommy Byrne was either.

But this is one insanely fascinating book. Forget the guarded biographies of celebrity sportsmen and woman. Nobody really wants to read those.

Treat someone to a real, almost too honest account of life as a racing driver. Get them this book!

Video Games

About a million times better than Need For Speed Underground, Midnight Club does everything right.

Sweet cars, loads of modifications, great races and a pretty decent soundtrack. If you’re buying for someone who’s into their gaming this is the one to get.

Midnight club is available for either Xbox 360 or PS3

I’m going to put my neck out here. Everyone loves Mario Kart.

Am i right or am i right?

Ok, so it’s not the most sophisticated game ever and it’s not as much fun playing on your own. But if you’ve got company it’s almost impossible not to enjoy. Just make sure you get an extra wheel.

Know someone with a Wii that doesn’t have Mario Kart? Well then what are you waiting for?

Jewellery

Sure they’re tacky as hell, but it’s christmas right!

Lets be honest, i’m sure you must know someone that would be made up with having a set of rims for their favourite shirt!

Not sure alloy wheel cufflinks are quite right? No worries, you can even get Gear Knobsor Steering Wheels!

Practial

Ok, so on the face of it buying a vacuum cleaning as a xmas gift is pretty damn boring.

The truth is when it comes to keeping your car in check there’s nothing much more essential than a hand held vacuum cleaner!

This model will stop your mate from stressing every time you’re chomping on a big mac in their car. Well, almost.
