Alloy Wheel fitment guide – your car listed by PCD (studs) & ET (offset)

Posted on 16. Jan, 2010 by in Alloy Wheels, Cars, Products, The Store

Looking for what wheels fit your car?

This is a beginners guide to wheel fitment. This is not a hardcore guide to every single car on the planet but a very basic guide for if you’re looking to purchase a new set of wheels for your car. If you have any questions at all on more specific fitments please leave a comment on the blog and we will be able to help with any information required.

Rim Size:

1) It is very uncommon to fit smaller wheels than OEM to your car however is possible and sometimes done in the stance scene.
2) Often you take the factory fitment size and you can add around 1, 2 or 3 inches.
3) Bigger you go, thinner the tyre profile and firmer the ride, the ride will be even more firm if you choose to go for a stretched tyre look.
4) When you go extra large (say 3+ inches over original), your handling will start to be compromised greatly.
5) Rim width is for people who understand what they want.  Basic setup is 15×6.5 17×7 18×8, can go wider, not skinnier. If you want to increase the wheel width for a stanced car you usually add 2/3 inches in rim width from OEM. For example on a Honda Civic instead of using 14×5.5″ wheels you would use 15×8.

PCD:

(number of studs and how far they are apart from each other in mm, ie. 4 studs / 98mm apart. This is shown as 4×98)
Easy!

ET:

(also referred to as ‘OFFSET’. Some fitments below don’t list it. No ET listed means most wheels will fit with a common offset) This makes sure your wheels fit flush with the arches or poke slightly for a stanced look if wanted and not too far in like a Lexus RX (this needs SPACERS guys!!!) Your car uses a unique offset, but it can be changed to suit your style in relation to the body line of the vehicle,

1) Realistically you can go 5-7mm outside these recommendations in direct replacements. You can go much wider with arch work too.
2) Always consult a technician if you are unsure, as there are often other factors that need to be considered.

Most importantly, have fun. Your about to make your car look 100x better. :D

Disclaimer. This information is accurate to our knowledge but don’t go and buy any wheels until you have double checked with another source too. POTN double check all orders and gurantee fitment, so it’s cool to order from us ;)

    Hi Charlie,

The Volvo wheels won’t fit unfortunately, the Volvo stud fitment is 5×108 and the Mazda 3 is 5×114.3.

    Hi Steve,

They may fit if you use correct wheel bolts, it’s not a straight fit.

The fitment for the Laguna is 5×108 and the Vectra is 5×110.

    Hi Mark,

As long as the Corsa is still a 4 bolt wheel then swapping them over won’t be a problem as they’re the same fitment.

    Hi Swede,

On the 1997 Mazda 626 you need an offset range of ET34 to ET47.

    Hi Richiec,

Depending on the size of the wheels I would recommend a 10-15MM spacer.

    Hi James,

Regarding the Picanto, the older model wheel fitment is the same and you can use one as a spare no problems.

    Hi Chris,

Have you checked the centre bore of the wheel? The wheels may be catching if the centre bore on the wheel is too small for the hub on your Astra Van.

    Hi Krt,

The biggest wheels I would recommend on a Cappuccino is 15×7.

    Hi David W,

The OZ’s won’t fit as the stud fitment on the Sapphire is 4×108 and the Clio is 4×100.

    Hi Emmett,

Any wheels with a 4×100 stud fitment.

On a Clio I wouldn’t recommend going above 16″ on rim size.

    Hi Ashley,

17×8 wheels wouldn’t fit without major work.

If you want wide wheels I would recommend a 15×8.

The Audi TT wheels will fit your A4.

    Hi Stevo,

The wheels have the right fitment however you need to make sure they clear the large front brakes.

Also, Altezza wheels may not be wide enough for the Supra.

    Hi Kay,

For your 2007 Berlingo I would recommend:

    15×6.5 or 15×7 using a 185x55x15 or 195x50x15 tyre size

    16×6.5 or 16×7 using a 195x45x16 or 205x40x16 tyre size

    17×7 using a 215x35x17 tyre size.

These sizes are only for upgrading the rim size, if you maintain your 14″ wheels using the original 175x65x14 will be fine of course.

    Hi Stuart,

The X-Type wheels won’t fit the Mk4 Golf unfortunately.

The X-Type uses a 5×108 wheel fitment and the Golf uses 5×100.

    26. Jan, 2012

    Hi Karl,

I wouldn’t recommend fitting S2000 wheels are they have varying offsets and centre bore sizes.

Honda Civic Type-R (5×114.3) wheels will fit but I would check the load rating.

    Hi Alan,

Unfortunately not, they are both 5 bolt but the Rav4 has a fitment of 5×114.3 and the Vectra is 5×110.

    Hi George,

ET30 is pretty low for an Astra but if you want the wheels to be flush to the arch it will be perfect.

If you don’t want this, I’d go more towards ET40.

No problem, keep a look out for wheels that are 5×114.3 and they will fit fine.

    26. Jan, 2012

    Hi Sam,

If the wheels are an offset of 28/37 I’d recommend using a 10/15mm spacer as this will bring the wheels out to the correct offset.

    Simon

  32. Simon Binner

    26. Jan, 2012

    Hi Neil,

They would fit the Rav 4 however I would check to see if the wheels you currently have are load rated for the Rav 4.

You will also need a set of spigot rings so the wheels mount to the hub correctly.

    Simon

  33. Simon Binner

    26. Jan, 2012

    Hi Anf,

Unfortunately the Renault 5 wheels won’t fit the 306 at all unless you go for hub converters to change the PCD to 4×100 from 4×108.

You will also need to reduce the offset by 15mm.

    Simon

  34. Simon Binner

    26. Jan, 2012

    Hi Benny,

The wheels will fit, however the offset will be low compared to the Honda wheels and be closer to the arch.

I would recommend you check the hub rings on the Skyline wheels to make sure they rest on the hub securely.

    Simon

  35. Simon Binner

    26. Jan, 2012

    Hi Mark,

The Peugeot 406 wheels will fit a 206.

What are the years of both vehicles?

    Simon

  37. Simon Binner

    26. Jan, 2012

    Hi James,

    If you’re going to 16″ I would recommend a 195x45x16 tyre.

    If you’re going to 17″ I would recommend a 205x40x17 tyre.

Anything over 17″ and problems may occur with arch rubbing etc.

    Hi Manj,

The only way which you can avoid this from happening is maybe purchase a camber adjustment kit to bring the top of the wheels towards the suspension strut away from the arch.

You could also roll or flare you arches.

  45. Simon Binner

    26. Jan, 2012

    Hi Ryan,

A motorsport or engineering company could do this.

With it only being 2mm you could always use corrective bolts.

    26. Jan, 2012

    Hi Jeev,

They won’t unfortunately as the PCD on the Golf is 5×100 if Mk4 or 5×112 Mk5. The Civic is 5×114.3.
