Spark plugs are like the heartbeat of your car. Simply put, if they stop working properly it will make your car slow, sluggish and difficult to start. The good news is changing your spark plugs is, in most cases, an easy job, taking no more than 1/2 hour.

Premium spark plugs are known to have an improving effect on your power, acceleration and petrol consumption.

Sure-fire signs your plugs are not working properly are:

• Getting less mpg out of your car
• An erratic idle
• Not starting easily (think we have all had this on a cold morning)
• Poor acceleration (will get worse over time)
• Stalling for no good reason 

If you have any of these symptoms it might just be time to check and change your plugs.
